For the grown-ups
A good cup of coffee, and a place to sit with it
Coffee from Stamp Act, pastries from the case, and comfortable spots to settle in, whether you're here for ten minutes or the whole morning.
For the kids
Room to climb, crawl, and build
The Grove is our play area, made for kids around one to five: a climbing structure, a cozy cave, walls to play with, and a soft floor underneath. Older siblings are welcome too.
Have a look insideWhy we're doing this
We started Taru because we needed it too
We have a little one of our own, and on rainy Seattle mornings we kept wishing for somewhere to go: a neighborhood place with good coffee where she could play, with quality play design, where we could sit down for a minute, and nobody would feel in the way.
We couldn't find quite that in Seattle, so we're making it. We hope it becomes a bit of a second living room for the neighborhood.

Celebrate and gather here
We'd love to host birthdays, playgroups and parent community events, once we're open: the whole room, coffee for the grown-ups, and cake, of course.
